Good concept- needs corect aiming and time to work

It's not a magic fix overnight, but as a way to reinforce training consistently, it's a really clever little device. Definitely worth trying. I'll update later.

Keeping our hairy dog off our new couch!

My dog who knows he's not allowed on the new couch, but he only stays off of it when we we're home! We put ChatrBox on the couch when we leave and he now stays off the couch! We've only had ot for a week and hoping he will learn this over time so we don't have to use anything. Love the concept of the voice!

Stopped the sneaking to poop in house

Worked for me. Took a few tries to aim it ocrectly but once it I did it did the job. Good prodcut. Better than the cams I've been buying which are cheap did not stop the problem.

Helped stop our cat from jumping on the counter

I wasn't sure this would work with our cat, but I decided to give it a try after seeing it on FB. Recording my own voice was simple, and after a little adjustment to the placement, she quickly started avoiding the kitchen counters. :-) The setup instructions were clear, and the whole device is much smaller than I expected.

Great Early Warning

Our rescue dog had pooping accidents whenever we were in the other room. We started using ChatrBox near the area where it happens. Now we know when she sneaks back there an we can let her out! Woo HOO!

I was disappointed because I'm a pet sitter and really thought ChatrBox would help keep my own cat from constantly peeing on the carpet in a back bedroom, but so far she mostly ignores it and by walking around it where it can see her. At first I thought the unit wasn’t working because it would never trigger. Then I realized I had accidentally left it in pause mode — duh. Once I unpaused it, it started working normally, but my cat still found a way around it. I second the other reviewer about the quick access guide. Skip that and go to thier support page - much better. For now I’m giving it 3 stars. If I can get it to do what I bought it for, I’ll update my review.

Works as advertised when aimed correctly

I bought ChatrBox because we had just purchased new furniture and I really didn’t want our dog destroying it like the furniture we replaced. It did take me a little time at first to understand the best way to set it up and aim it properly. The Quick Start Guide honestly wasn’t very helpful, but thankfully the videos on the website did a much better job explaining how to set everything up and use it. The focus shields are also pretty important if you want to target a specific area. Once I figured those out, it worked really well. It’s actually pretty cool how you can narrow down exactly where you want ChatrBox to detect your dog. Overall, very happy with it.

love that it uses my own voice instead of punishment. It helped stop our puppy from sneaking onto the furniture, and now just seeing the ChatrBox is often enough to keep him away. fingers crossed.

Simple to set up and surprisingly effective. Our dog responds to our recorded voice much better than the RF "shock" device we were using which was annoying to him and to us.

Helped My Cat Stay Off My Sewing Table!

I originally bought ChatrBox my over-stimualted Dalmations who a bad habit of kitchen counter surfing, but the biggest surprise was how well it worked for my cat. I have a sewing room where I leave projects set up, and my cat loved walking across the table, playing with thread, and occasionally knocking pins or scissors onto the floor. Closing the door wasn't always practical because I spend hours going in and out. I recorded myself saying, "Hey! Off the table." Within a few days, she started hopping down almost immediately whenever she heard my voice. After a couple of weeks, I noticed something even better—she simply stopped jumping onto the sewing table altogether, even when ChatrBox wasn't speaking very often. What impressed me most was that I wasn't trying to scare her. It just sounded like I had walked into the room and caught her in the act. I honestly never would have thought a product marketed for dogs would end up solving one of my biggest cat problems.

Works Well, But Placement Takes Some Trial and Error

Overall, I'm happy with ChatrBox and it has definitely helped curb our dog's bad habit of snooping around the kitchen when we're not around. It wasn't an instant fix—we had to experiment with the placement a couple of times before the motion sensor covered the right area—but once we found the sweet spot, it worked much better. The filters are meant to do this but ther is not great instructions for that. I also wish the batteries lasted a little longer with heavy use, but that's a minor complaint. It's a nifty solution to reinforce behavior training, so I'd still recommend it if yo have a pet behavior issue and your pet already responds to voice commands.

I Didn't Think It Would Work... But It Did

I honestly didn't think this little box was going to stop my 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog, but it did. Whenever we left the house, he'd climb right up on our bed (and pretty much any other furniture he felt like). My wife hated it as he's pretty messy The only thing that worked before was keeping the bedroom door closed, which messed with the A/C. The first time we used ChatterBox, he stayed off the bed. Since then, he hasn't even bothered trying, and that's exactly what we were hoping for. I think the combination of the alert tones and hearing my voice is what finally got through to him. He's a stubborn dog, and my voice alone never did the trick. Really impressed with how well this thing works. Definitely a 5-star product! Recommend

Stopped my Jack Russell from scratching door A++

A friend let me borrow his ChatrBox to see if it would stop my 3yr old Jack Russel from scratching at the door trim whenever I left. I recorded No Bruce, back now! and put it near the back door where he scratches constantly when I'm gone. I'd leave through the garage door like normal and then sneak back around to the window to see what would happen. Every time he started toward the door, my message would play and he'd back away almost immediately. It was kind a funny because you could see him thinking what the heck was that! haha. After watching it work it's magic, I was sold. I'll be buying one of my own now. A++

No more peeing!

Finally, something that stopped my 11-year-old tabby from peeing on my rugs and in the hallway. After hearing my recorded voice a few times, she started turning around and leaving the area. I think she was confused by hearing me when I wasn’t there, but whatever the reason, it’s worked. So far, no more peeing

Helped stop a bad behavior but costly

We bought this to keep our dog away from the laundry room when we’re not home. It took a few days for him to catch on, but once he did, the difference was noticeable. I like that it uses my voice instead of something that scares him. Setup was straightforward and it’s been doing exactly what we hoped it would do but I wish it cost less.

Our biggest problem wasn't accidents or barking—it was our cat constantly jumping onto the kitchen counters whenever we left the room. We tried aluminum foil, double-sided tape, and just about every trick we could find online. Nothing seemed to last. With ChatrBox, we recorded a simple message saying "Mittens, get down" in the same tone we normally use. The first few times it went off, she looked completely confused and immediately jumped down. After about a week, we noticed she was spending much less time on the counters, even when the device wasn't triggered. I like that it doesn't scare her or spray anything. It just reminds her of the rules we've already been teaching. The battery life has been better than expected, and the motion shields helped us keep it focused on the counter area. It's not magic, and it still takes consistency, but it has definitely helped reduce a behavior we had been struggling with for months. I'd buy it again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kept my busy body at out of the baby's room

When the package arrived, it honestly looked like it had been repackaged and put back togehter. Everything was there and worked out OK, but it wasn't the best first impression. I contacted the company and they offered to send me a new one, which was nice. I ended up keeping the one I had. We bought it to keep our 10 yr old cat out of the baby's room, and it's actually been doing a good job. So far, no cat in the room! :-) That's really all I wanted it to do, and so far it's worked. If the packaging hadn't looked like it had been opened already, I probably would have given it 5 stars.

We've tried a lot different products from Schock products of scat match do you name it sprays cause we have several animals that just refuse to stay off the furniture countertops, etc. This is the first product that actually worked and we really appreciate the fact that it was a humane way of doing it. It didn't take long to work and now just seeing the box the animals behave. 👍
