Works Well, But Placement Takes Some Trial and Error

Overall, I'm happy with ChatrBox and it has definitely helped curb our dog's bad habit of snooping around the kitchen when we're not around. It wasn't an instant fix—we had to experiment with the placement a couple of times before the motion sensor covered the right area—but once we found the sweet spot, it worked much better. The filters are meant to do this but ther is not great instructions for that. I also wish the batteries lasted a little longer with heavy use, but that's a minor complaint. It's a nifty solution to reinforce behavior training, so I'd still recommend it if yo have a pet behavior issue and your pet already responds to voice commands.

I Didn't Think It Would Work... But It Did

I honestly didn't think this little box was going to stop my 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog, but it did. Whenever we left the house, he'd climb right up on our bed (and pretty much any other furniture he felt like). My wife hated it as he's pretty messy The only thing that worked before was keeping the bedroom door closed, which messed with the A/C. The first time we used ChatterBox, he stayed off the bed. Since then, he hasn't even bothered trying, and that's exactly what we were hoping for. I think the combination of the alert tones and hearing my voice is what finally got through to him. He's a stubborn dog, and my voice alone never did the trick. Really impressed with how well this thing works. Definitely a 5-star product! Recommend

Stopped my Jack Russell from scratching door A++

A friend let me borrow his ChatrBox to see if it would stop my 3yr old Jack Russel from scratching at the door trim whenever I left. I recorded No Bruce, back now! and put it near the back door where he scratches constantly when I'm gone. I'd leave through the garage door like normal and then sneak back around to the window to see what would happen. Every time he started toward the door, my message would play and he'd back away almost immediately. It was kind a funny because you could see him thinking what the heck was that! haha. After watching it work it's magic, I was sold. I'll be buying one of my own now. A++

No more peeing!

Finally, something that stopped my 11-year-old tabby from peeing on my rugs and in the hallway. After hearing my recorded voice a few times, she started turning around and leaving the area. I think she was confused by hearing me when I wasn’t there, but whatever the reason, it’s worked. So far, no more peeing

Helped stop a bad behavior but costly

We bought this to keep our dog away from the laundry room when we’re not home. It took a few days for him to catch on, but once he did, the difference was noticeable. I like that it uses my voice instead of something that scares him. Setup was straightforward and it’s been doing exactly what we hoped it would do but I wish it cost less.

Our biggest problem wasn't accidents or barking—it was our cat constantly jumping onto the kitchen counters whenever we left the room. We tried aluminum foil, double-sided tape, and just about every trick we could find online. Nothing seemed to last. With ChatrBox, we recorded a simple message saying "Mittens, get down" in the same tone we normally use. The first few times it went off, she looked completely confused and immediately jumped down. After about a week, we noticed she was spending much less time on the counters, even when the device wasn't triggered. I like that it doesn't scare her or spray anything. It just reminds her of the rules we've already been teaching. The battery life has been better than expected, and the motion shields helped us keep it focused on the counter area. It's not magic, and it still takes consistency, but it has definitely helped reduce a behavior we had been struggling with for months. I'd buy it again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kept my busy body at out of the baby's room

When the package arrived, it honestly looked like it had been repackaged and put back togehter. Everything was there and worked out OK, but it wasn't the best first impression. I contacted the company and they offered to send me a new one, which was nice. I ended up keeping the one I had. We bought it to keep our 10 yr old cat out of the baby's room, and it's actually been doing a good job. So far, no cat in the room! :-) That's really all I wanted it to do, and so far it's worked. If the packaging hadn't looked like it had been opened already, I probably would have given it 5 stars.

We've tried a lot different products from Schock products of scat match do you name it sprays cause we have several animals that just refuse to stay off the furniture countertops, etc. This is the first product that actually worked and we really appreciate the fact that it was a humane way of doing it. It didn't take long to work and now just seeing the box the animals behave. 👍

We've tried several training approaches over the years, but ChatrBox has been one of the easiest tools to incorporate into our daily routine. We placed it near a doorway where our dog frequently crossed into an off-limits area, and within a couple of weeks the behavior improved significantly. This has been a great addition to our house. We use it near the back door where our dog used to have occasional accidents and it has helped reinforce the rules consistently.
